MUNÉ SOLES: AUTHENTIC RECYCLED TIRE

At MUNÉ, sustainability is not just another label, nor is it just another slogan for its publications. When we say that MUNÉ is a sustainable Spanish brand, it means that this is its only way of producing.

Something that fortuitously already made us born different was our already famous 7.8mm thick recycled tire sole. Our slipper inspired by the Venetian slippers had to be usable to be able to walk down the street and with the Venetian and its fine bicycle sole it was impossible. The MUNÉ sole is made with authentic recycled tire, the use of this material for footwear turns each slipper into a luxury item, due to its artisan process, due to the expensive and laborious phases necessary to convert a vehicle wheel into the sole for your slippers and for its beneficial properties so that it walks with you over time and distance.

This conversion process from tire to MUNÉ sole is very complex. The wheel is made up of multiple materials such as metals and resistant fabrics etc... assembled with rubber, you can get an idea of ​​everything it takes by remembering how much a single tire weighs. In order to convert it into a sole, all these materials must be separated and only the virgin rubber remains, which results in tread bands or strips that are always of a small width -that of a wheel- of which we can punch each sole, few of each strip and always in black color, it is not possible to dye it under any process. The resistance, its non-slip grip and absolutely insulating from the ground, cushioning of the tread and flexibility are some of the properties that are transferred to the footwear. Extending the useful life of tires is a gesture with a very positive impact on our planet.

Due to its high cost, there are very few manufacturers that use this authentic recycled material to make footwear. You will be able to easily differentiate it when you have an article made with an authentic recycled tire in your hand, and of course when you use footwear made with them, you will notice that their resistance and feeling of flexible padding are unmatched and also last a long time... like the wheels of your car, designed to be used on different floors or environments for a long time.

MUNÉ FABRICS: EXCLUSIVITY WITH HIGH QUALITY

Another of Muné's bastions is its selection of fabrics always contrasted with the inner lining of the slipper. At MUNÉ, we organize our own universe, according to our way of understanding aesthetics, turning slippers combined with socks into an indispensable, chic item. and different, an irreplaceable footwear option and that when you try it you don't give up, which is why we are very proud that 90% of our customers repeat.

At Muné, finding the most exclusive, elegant and different fabrics is part of our essence, the brand was born looking for the comfort/style mix, which was so complicated, to avoid falling into the monotony of urban uniforms that had come to fit the same as everything. the world, was one of the challenges.

You have to dare, you have to combine the fabrics with socks, with colors and textures that are everything in your daily outfit, that allow you to dress in a single tone without being bland because your slippers and your socks say it all. Fabrics with subtle prints, with embroideries as in the Lavinia model, with different textures in the same fabric, all different, all with distinction, not designed for just anyone, chosen for cosmopolitan people who want to feel different and at the same time resist all day with the same shoes comfortably.

From smooth velvets, most of them washable, of the highest quality and resistance, which withstand the passage of time wonderfully, and which can always accompany you in good condition. Only a specific, resistant, high-quality velvet gives good results in footwear, otherwise, after using them, they no longer look good to wear on the street.

The selection of models, colors or prints does not obey any fashion, it simply obeys a very basic premise: that it impresses us, that we like it, a model that we would wear, because at MUNÉ there is no model that has been manufactured without having been conceived to be used by ourselves, and conversely there are easy models or variants of our slipper that we have never made for a simple reason: we would never wear them.

All the fabrics are from renowned Spanish firms and designers.

The distinction of combining the interior and exterior in all the models gives a lot of particularity to the slipper, taking off your shoes and having a beautiful interior is a stupendous act of flirting with oneself, simply seeing them in the shoe rack and their interior continues to be seductive and pleasing to the eye is an aspect that at MUNÉ we take maximum care of, each detail is what makes us different. It would be infinitely easier for our manufacturing processes to use the same lining throughout, but the easy way is not the one that seduces us, and fortunately our loyal customers, neither.

Like its interior finish, with latex insoles that manage to perfectly cushion the footprint, softly wrap the feet and adapt to the physiognomy of each one by embracing them, this invisible insole, superimposed on the rubber of the recycled tire, achieves absolute isolation asphalt, anticipating both low and high temperatures, the cushioned sensation when walking makes them your favorite shoe option.

Another very important aspect is the consistency of the fabrics, and therefore of the resulting slipper. All the fabrics are specifically reinforced, each fabric has a different reinforcement adapted to its texture and thickness, they are not all the same, the objective is to achieve consistency, so that it does not bend, we are not dealing with a "sneaker" that you will use for a season, we want a strong, consistent slipper that does not deform and in which the leather is well supported, a vital aspect for a healthy footprint. This process is expensive and very laborious but the result is perfect, what we were looking for in MUNÉ, quality.

Our manufacturing process is not fast, it is very manual, all made in Spain with the techniques of a lifetime, the result is a unique article, when you hold it in your hands its consistency attracts attention and when you wear it and walk you realize realize that you have found your perfect footwear.
